Thank you to all RTYPN members who attended the Food for the Soul concert on July 18 benefitting the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. Food Bank President and CEO Cherie Jamason provided an inspiring discussion followed by a great performance by Fiamma Fumana. The RTYPN kicked off our partnership with the Food Bank through the end of 2007 and launched a corporate challenge to members and their companies – who can donate the most food! Corporations registered for Food Bank barrels that are being delivered and set up in lobbies, break rooms and CEO offices across Reno and Sparks.
There is still time to get in on the competition for a great cause. Contact Amy Anderson at execdirector@renotahoeypn.com to get your barrel delivered. The deadline for corporate food donations and barrel pick up is September 14. The winning company will be announced at the Inaugural RTYPN Summit on September 28 with an award presented.
In addition, this is a call to action to all RTYPN members. The Give Committee, focused on generating further relationships with local community organizations and non-profits, what you as a part of their team. Speak your mind and get involved at the upcoming Give Committee Meetings. Visit www.renotahoeypn.com dates, times and locations of upcoming committee meetings.

1I think it would go a LONG way with Pete Copeland at NNBW, new local chair of the JDRF, to help him promote The Walk For A Cure in October. My suggestion is to help promote their kick-off lunch 8/15 at the Atlantis. It’s a free luncheon. The RSVP cut-off is Friday. This would require an e-blast not a blog post.
Just a thought.
